Letter from President Schrader,

As we begin the new academic year, I want to extend a warm welcome to the entire Kingsborough family! For those of you for whom this is your first time to the college, if your reception was anything like mine, I know you will feel very much at home here. This is a community that, at its core, has a strong academic tradition, a culture of service and success, and an unwavering commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

If you are the first of your family to attend college, if you hail from one of the 142 countries represented, and speak one of the 73 languages, you are welcomed here. Whatever your status, you will find Kingsborough is an accepting and supportive community. Your success is our business and we take seriously our collective mission to ensure that you are well-equipped to achieve your academic goals. The broad range of services that the college provides is all toward creating an environment that allows students to thrive in the classroom and beyond.

Every aspect of the Kingsborough experience - our outstanding faculty, dedicated staff, and vital community partners; programs such as SPARK, College Discovery, and ASAP; and services such as Single Stop, Transfer Services and the Childcare Center - is designed with your success in mind. It is not surprising that we are once again poised to earn the enviable accolade of a Top Ten Community College by the Aspen Institute.

I feel privileged to be a part of the Kingsborough family, and serve as your president. Over the coming days and months ahead, I eagerly look forward to engage with members of our community. I wish you all a successful academic year!
